If you ever have the opportunity to see these awesome creatures (up close), I encourage you to savor the moment of looking directly into their eyes. I have yet to find words to describe the gift I was given with the experience!
Jacqui~Your commment took me back to outings at the “Lion Country Safari,” the LA Zoo, and San Diego Zoo. Although the Lion Country Safari has been replaced by a sea of subdivisions, the zoos remain.
But perhaps I will only see the gaze you describe in the wild. We would have fun on a safari!
