May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. ~ Psalm 19:14
Our enemies were trying to frighten us and to keep us from our work.
But I asked God to give me strength. ~Nehemiah 6:9
Lift up faithful prayers to God for the courage and determination to press on through fear and temptation. Our character is strengthened when we face our fears.
We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance. ~Psalm 66:12b
The verse today~Psalm 66:12b~has a little “b” at the end. It is the “b” that provides the happy ending that makes great movies and great stories.
To get the full story, it is important to read the entire Psalm.
Psalm 66:10-12a: “For you, O God, tested us; You refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us to a place of abundance.”
Os Hillman explained, “God’s economy of abundance often has little to do with material blessing. In God’s economy, abundance is often measured in wisdom and knowledge of Himself. It is then that we are truly blessed. Wisdom cannot be gained through intellectual pursuits. Wisdom comes only through experience. Real wisdom comes from the kinds of experiences that come only through the deepest tests. Lessons of refinement, including prison accompanied by burdens, lead us through the fire and water. This is the territory that must be traveled to reach that place of abundance.”
Stay strong and thankful if you, like me, find yourself in the Remaining Place. The darkest hour is just before daybreak.

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. ~ Romans 12:12
Encouragement for continual praying is also given in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Seems to be a theme!
So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith (complete confidence) in God that it will be exactly as it was told me…~Acts 27:25 amp
God is forever faithful; we can depend on His word to strengthen us.

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or
tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not
fail you or forsake you. ~Deuteronomy 31:6
Take a shower today. So many reference to water in the Bible. God even uses the word Shower, a term of abundance to describe how He will bless us.
I will come and shower my blessings upon you…~Hosea 10:12 (Good News Translation)
The entire verse in the New Living Translation says:
I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you.’
Perhaps one way to demonstrate “seeking” is to tell our story of blessing and provision.
Perhaps we could tell someone else about these blessings we have received?
What would your story be?
