Do you know why women are – 76% more likely to crave chocolate? – 22 times more likely to eat chocolate to feel better? – Twice as likely to feel good when they fulfill their food cravings?Or why men are -78% more likely to crave meat? -five times more likely to dislike chocolate? -four times more likely to feel good when they deny their food cravings?
Will present this as a new Luncheon topic @ the hospital on this book/concept…and also give a “Chocolate Survival Kit” to participants.
What should I include in the “Chocolate Survival Kit.”
Sometimes time alone for anything is a challenge for me. As soon as I settle down, serious thoughts crowd in. Nonsense thoughts fall into place too. And then menacing thoughts are not far behind.
Time Alone with God is possible! Some ideas from Rick Warren on building quiet time with God.
Start with focusing on God. My friend Carl says, “enjoy and acknowledge the blessings He has givenWhen you pray, you should pray like this, ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name …” Matthew 6:7-9
Pray a prayer of surrender: stop trying to include God in your plans and instead ask God to include you in his. “May your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” Matthew 6:7-9
“Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness” James 3:18
Every day we are either planting seeds of conflict and drama with the people in our life or seeds of peace.
