Happy Father’s Day Dad

dad, 1957Happy Father’s Day to my dad. Several years ago, on the day before Father’s Day, my dad was preparing for our family to travel to Mackinac Island. He always loved family vacations.

On his way home from the Farmer’s Market, a stroke changed his plans, my mom’s plans and of  course, the vacation plans.

He continues to teach gentleness despite undeserved injury and pain. It seems that Acts 11:23-24, written about Barnabas in Antioch also applies to dad’s walk with Christ today.

When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. He {is} a good man, full of the Hold Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
