Monday Words for the Soul~July 8

Over this past weekend, I seriously consider giving up on a goal I’ve had for 15 years because of a 17-minute phone call with a long-time critic and a setback of a previous expectation. It was a dizzying descent down Setback Road.

Slowing down the dizzy, asking God for guidance and repeating His promises of provision began to clear the decaying leaves off Setback Road. Restoring belief and balance is a slow process, helped by a wise mother’s perfectly punctuated advice,

“Dismiss those who Diss.”

And in Christine’s quote:

Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other three tires because you have a flat. ~Christine Kane
