a word from The Sponsor~September 28

My verse for this semester:

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, You are still with me! ~Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT)

and this…

“God teaches us by this method of repetition through Scripture with good reason: The human mind is incurably centrifical, forever flying off at a tangent; it must be brought back to the great central truths of the gospel, over and over. Our minds must be made literally to con-centrate…Our thinking needs to intentionally con-centrate — to literally circle again and around again around the central thing.

” ~Ann Voskamp, at A Holy Experience quoting a theologian.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. ~Titus 3:4-7

This Weekend~September 12~Ignore

This weekend, after a slew of unsettling abruptions (abrupt interruptions) here is my focus.

Perhaps it rings true for you too?

Ignore Negativity. Domestic Serenity explains that the active definition of the word Ignore is to Intentionally Disregard. Turn instead toward Grace. Soak in it.

Deep Breath. So true. This weekend, may you Intentionally Disregard all that negatively clamors to you and on you. (Wanna know a secret? They only get louder when you are doing work that matters.) Here is a good place to begin.

Ignore Negativity

This weekend, perhaps it rings true for you too? Ignore Negativity. Ignore The Spectator, The Complainer and The Hater. Focus on Grace, the Grace that can’t be ignored. This weekend, Ignore Negativity. Ease your mind into Grace.
