Mid-week Question of the Week ~ January 30

Revisiting a favorite topic at the close of the first month of the year…

“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back everything is different?”
~C.S. Lewis

What has changed for you since the beginning of 2019?

What has stayed the same?

Monday words for the soul~July 29~the more truly ourselves we become

Perhaps the elusive “it” of serenity occurs through surrender.

C. S. Lewis observed, “The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become — because He made us.

Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” (Psalm 37:7a GW)

What does Surrendering your life mean?

The founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth, once said, “The greatness of a man’s power is the measure of his surrender.” Surrender Leads to Victory

Today is my birthday and as I surrender another year to the calendar of memory, it is good for me to dwell on what (And Who) outlast the calendar as well.
