A 2nd Week of Prayer~A Prayer for Revealing

Continuing to center a second week on prayer postings.

God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world, the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil.
~E.M. Bounds

Identity – Create – Hidden – Workmanship

Daily Prayables describes four springboard words for prayer:

Identity ~
“I am God’s child, created in His image.”

Create~
Ask God to multiply the work of your hands and to be fruitful. Not only does God create your identity, but He gives
you the gift to create, every single day.

Hidden~
Search for yourself and your purpose through prayer and reflection.

Workmanship~
The beauty of God’s creation! You are a masterpiece. Your unique life is poetic in God’s sight. God writes it and you walk it out. Rejoice in the day God has made.

prayer for today

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Saturday Digest~August 20

*”Love and I tend not to see eye to eye all the time and we argue and call each other names.”

Wow! What a powerful thought-nugget about openness. Being open is about vulnerability and adventure.
By Aleathia in La Spectatrice

*Was catching up on unread emails and found a thia thought in a post from Alia’s Inner Bliss Blog

“If you have been feeling uninspired or unfulfilled with the work you do or things that you do during the day, try waking up and asking, ‘How can I be of service to the highest good of all today?’ Make sure to include yourself in there, too!”

Thanks, Alia!

*As I read through the gospels and note where Jesus’ focus is, I can learn from His example. Jesus regularly spent time alone in prayer. To read Jody’s post on Jesus in Prayer, gently click here

*Don’t Give Up When Times Are Tough: God is more interested in what you are becoming than what you accomplish. To read this Purpose Driven Life post, gently click here

*Finding Balance: To gain balance—remember one thing: quality not quantity. Don’t get caught up doing a little bit of EVERY-thing and not focusing on THE-thing that matters most. Gently Click Here to read more

*Favorite Idea I’ve Seen in awhile: A great guestbook idea: use a calendar accompanied with the sign: “Find your birthday, sign your name.” Click Here to see a sample

Such a gifted writer, Jen Lee,  writes as if she can see into my life. She writes about finding “gifts in surprising places and help from unexpected sources, to hibernate, to create, to say a hundred words and behold a hundred silences”  and this gem “To feel grace falling on my cheeks like that pretty kind of snow”

Prayables | Inspirational Prayers for Women of Different Religions.

Give me the strength and wisdom
to face all adversities in life,
no matter how large or trivial.
Though I know You are always with me,
I sometimes forget
when I am wrapped up in a struggle.
The only thing I need is a gentle nudge;
the reminder that You soldier on along side me.
Help me to stop and realize,
You will never let me down.
